OS-SOIL
LIVE SOIL ENHANCING MICROBES & ENZYMES
Elderberries have a fast growth rate and form a bushy hedge within four to five years. They typically grow 24 inches or more in one season, according to Cal Poly Urban Forest Ecosystems Institute. Pictured elderberry cuttings grew between 50” and 69” in the first year utilizing OS-Soil microbes and enzymes.
OS-SOIL PRODUCT INFORMATION
OS-Soil microbes and enzymes are to be used side-by-side with other management practices, such as crop rotation, conservation tillage, crop residue recycling, and other organic farmingmethods.
Only a fraction of what microbes and enzymes accomplish to aid plant growth is known. Here is some of what we do know about the benefits of introducing microbes and enzymes into your soils. Microbes and enzymes play a crucial role in helping plants to thrive amid saline soils, extreme temperature fluctuations, and other environmental challenges. Increasing their presence in our soils is a decisive step to the eventual elimination of pesticide and herbicide. In addition, there is growing evidence that microbes are a key contributor to heightening flavors of top-quality produce.
Benefits of applying OS-Soil include: increasing water-holding capacity in soils, breaking down chemical contaminants, neutralizing soil pH, and increasing oxygen availability to plants. Additionally, the amount of fertilizer inputs may be reduced and at the same time see increasing overall yields.
APPLICATION: OS-Soil may be applied via spray or drip infusion applied directly to soils for uptake through the plant. It should be applied at the beginning and end of the growing season at a rate of 1 to 3 gallons per acre, with a dilution rate of 1-gallon OS-Soil to 20-gallons of water.
